I could actually get behind this. Stipulating that DOGE is at worst a huge morass of conflicts of interest, and at best a PR stunt. But in an administration that will be relentlessly PR-driven, engaging with the stunt seems like low-risk/high-reward.

I mean even if the recommendations are lame or later ignored, they can be called out for it. I'd be satisfied if the whole DOGE show simply drew attention to -- in business terms -- the ROI of billions spent on "congestion fixing" that only adds to congestion. ;)

SAFETY for people outside of cars. WHERE IS IT?!?! Gawd !! ..so many "legacy highway" intersections that are basically the equivalent of a "safety stand down" type OSHA violation (think "public place" instead of "work place"). You wouldn't allow a meat slicer to be operated without a safety guard in place AND YOU SHOULDN'T ALLOW A MISALIGNED INTERSECTION NEAR A TRAIN STATION WITH ZERO PROVISIONS FOR WALKING AND TRAFFIC GOING 50-70mph in a 40mph residential area that should be 35mph or less. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMfNAGP-iqfjctZ2JAq2MQ4X3Gqch2tG3

I would rather use a clean train or subway to travel, I’m tired and frustrated with driving . But my most frequent trip, which takes about an hour by car, takes about 4 hours, means connecting with two trains and about two miles of walking. Relocating is the obvious solution but i can’t afford the rent in New York. Sorry,
